Team Spirit Night: Celebrating Women in Hockey!
On Friday, December 13, our Booster Club hosted an epic celebration to honor women in hockey during an exciting game against a Westchester team. The energy in the stands was incredible as fans cheered on the female athletes on the ice, who all played an outstanding game. It was wonderful to see to many alumni attending the game, cheering on their former teammates. The Rockland Rockies truly are a family, and it was so happy to see our crew back together again! With raffles, trivia, amazing prizes, and a live organ player, the event was packed with fun and excitement. A huge thank you to our amazing fans who continue to come out and support our team—you’re what makes these events so special! It was a night to remember, celebrating the women who are breaking barriers and showing what true talent and determination look like!
Rockland Rockies Partner with NY Rangers and Dunkin Donuts: Girls Try Hockey for Free!
On October 6, 2024, Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Monsey, NY, hosted a special event featuring Aerin Frankel from the PWHL. Designed for girls aged 5 to 10 with little or no skating experience, the session kicked off the Jr. Rangers Girls 2024-2025 Programs.
Starting at 9:50 AM, Rangers Alumni and experienced instructors, along with our Rockland Rockies, provided professional guidance, while participants enjoyed free rental skates, loaner gear, and received a complimentary Rangers hockey stick, and swag bag from the Rockland Rockies. The day culminated in a post-skate meet and greet with PWHL goaltender Aerin Frankel!
The Rockland Rockies Girls Varsity Team played an instrumental role in supporting the NY Rangers organization, creating a wonderful partnership that allowed varsity players to share their passion for hockey with young girls learning to skate for the first time. Overall, it was a memorable day that marked an exciting introduction to the sport for many young skaters.
